I'm not saying you will agree with it, or disagree. I'm actually looking for that hell yeah!, or hell no ! - a reaction, but something, a spark, a discussion and exchange on comments and opinions I’ll be posting regularly.
First things first.
Hi, I'm avdv. I obviously work in the Industry, walking, ridding and sometimes grinding the fence between Online Marketing and Information Technology - Never a dull moment.
Born and raised in the Net era, I adore shaking things up in our wonderful Web world by most often gently removing mid-century marketing techniques still very popular in large corporations (yeah, more work for me), or by inoculating spark of life with IT
concepts like user-centric application development. What a rush when you see that glimpse of hope, immediately followed by a: "your taking over control of the back-end I spent years developing?" standard question, verbatim or close enough. Absolute joy...Yes, we are, and it's for your own good although you may not see it now.
The war between what's right for the business (and by default the end users) Vs what's right to protect my department, budgets, resources, ideas (good or not) is raging on...
Got to love what we can do, and are about to do in our all connected world. Some is good, not all, but pretending this does not affect your life, your business, your customers is a mistake you can no longer afford.
